Story:
This was an old black and white photo that was soiled and faded with blemishes from age. First I scanned it into the computer with a jpeg extension. I saved it into a high-end graphics program which allowed me to change the values (darks and lights) that had become faded with age. I then began the editing process of removing all the blemishes. After I was satisfied with the results I began the enhancement process which was to create a depth of field or 3-d effect by increasing the contrast between the background and the foreground, changing the intensity and the saturation. After a few other steps and some corrections I saved it as an 8" x 10" and printed it onto a quality pearl finish heavy duty print paper with shaded edges to create the vignette effect.
