This is an oil painting of my wife on an 20" x 24" x 1 1/2" Premier canvas

Story:
I began this painting of my wife around the first of December, 2008. I spent around Six days to finish what I have displayed here. I probably will go back and touch up certain things not too noticeable now. When I first decided to paint this portrait I did not want to paint something that could be better displayed in a photograph. I wanted to create a painting with a style that could not be captured in a photograph but one that captured her character and personality. The colors are consistent with my bold and colorful style I believe are my signature. If you will notice traditional portraits are generally statuesque and located in the center of the canvas. I made every effort to escape from that style and create what I refer to as contemporary portraiture.
