Story:

A painting in 3-D

The question is: Was President Bill Clinton offered the head of Osama Bin Laden on a silver platter back in 1996 by a representative of the Sudanese government? Everyone agreed that Bin Laden was an official guest of the radical Islamic government of Sudan in April of 1996. The claim is that there was not sufficient evidence that Bin Laden committed any crimes against American citizens at that time. That’s kind of like saying the same thing about Hitler back in the 1930’s. Had Bill Clinton not been distracted with the scandals involving female admirers, perhaps his decisions might have been different.

Ever notice when a politician is caught in a lie they always come back and say, “I misspoke.” Well, the real answer to this question will be debated for decades to come.

In any case, had we eliminated Osama Bin Laden back then before he had time to organize his Al Qaeda creation, the World Trade Center just might still be standing and hundreds of people might still be alive. Moreover, George Bush might not have sent American soldiers into Afghanistan to hunt down Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda followers resulting in hundreds of our soldiers being killed, thousands wounded, maimed and loss of limbs.

As it is, we still find ourselves embroiled in this useless and wasteful conflict under President Obama who campaigned to end this war and bring our soldiers home.

I have tried to illustrate the horrors and futility of war and the consequences caused by bad political decisions in this painting I call
