Story:
The butternut squash is eaten as a vegatable and is a member of the gourd family. Early centuries this was dried out and cut to be used as a drinking cup. Part of the "painting a day" collection. Time doing this painting was approximately 1 hour. Paints were "New Holland" and colors are Indigo, yellow green, naples yellow light, burnt umber and a touch of scarlet lake.
