Details:
This is an oil painting on a 24" x 30" x 2 1/2" Premier canvas. The painting wraps around the edges so it does not require framing. It has a backer and hanger wire ready for hanging.

Story:
This is a portrait of two of my closest friends. I wanted it to be a surprise for them so I painted it from a 4 x 6 inch photograph. It took me about five weeks to get it to this stage. I try to avoid that old style of someone sitting in a wingback chair in some horribly strained pose. This is an allegorical style painting where I created the scene, the setting, the mood. The painting looks a lot better than the photograph because I am a lousy photographer.
