Story:
This is my last day on the Oregon coast, a truly mariners coast. I saw a couple standing together in the surf, embracing one another watching the sunset. I remember watching the clouds form as they came in from the sea bringing with them an imminent storm. Somewhere behind the clouds were flashes of lightening that seemed to stir the clouds as if in a mixing bowl. There was a mere hint of a rainbow that was so elusive that I wondered If I had just imagined it. The whole scene appeared to be a surreal drama taking place right before my eyes and the couple standing in the surf and myself were the only audience.
