Painting # seascape 2010-25
Story:
Sunset On Cannon Beach, Oregon. It rained most of the day before and the winds were gusting up to forty five miles per hour. It stormed the night before and rained most of the morning changing to a stinging drizzle. Finally the rains subsided along with the gusts which fell to between fifteen and twenty miles per hour. I finally got to go out and drove down to Cannon beach. Several times the sun tried to come out but it wasn’t until sunset that it appeared along the horizon. I had been snapping pictures of everything from driftwood to agates to molted crab shells that had washed ashore. This is one of many photos I took of the sunset. To capture the emotion I decided to paint a surreal view of what I saw and felt.
