Story:
I had this large canvas and wanted to paint this landscape of a scene up in East Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. In fact I was born not too far from the Smokies and considered it my back yard when I was a youngster. While painting this I never realized until now how much I ejoyed painting on large canvases. I seem to be able to step right into the painting and paint the scene from inside. Wow! Why did I paint a tree with a certain feminity? I don't believe anyone has ever put a gender to nature's elements such as a tree but if I were going to it would be a female. They bare fruit and foliage. (mother nature) There is nothing more beautiful, nothing more than Mother Nature.
